The release of the Fender American Standard Telecaster model brings with it a new, comfortable body contour alongside an addition that brings it back to its roots, with a Fender Custom Shop Broadcaster pickup in the bridge position, and a Twisted Tele pickup in the neck, giving a Tele that is brighter and crisper than ever.

Construction

The Fender American Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar utilises alder for its body and keeps the classic shape, long-loved by Tele fans on the top, while bringing added comfort to the back of the guitar with a new swooping contour.

Bolted into the body of the Fender American Standard Telecaster is a supremely playable maple neck, harnessing a modern "C" profile. Atop this rests a 22 medium-jumbo fretted, 9.5" maple fingerboard with dot inlays, lying between a synthetic bone nut and a 6-saddle American Standard strings-through-body bridge.

Electronics

The Fender American Standard Telecaster Electric Guitar is loaded with a Custom Shop single-coil Broadcaster pickup in the bridge, to give the vintage sound of the Tele’s former incarnation, while a Custom Shop "Twisted" Tele single-coil is set at the neck. The Twisted has been designed to give a higher output, for a beefier sound whenever you need it.

The pickups of the Fender American Standard Telecaster are selectable with the usual 3-position blade, but alongside the master volume control is a master Delta (no-load) tone control. Along with its usual function this tone knob also has the added benefit of being excluded from the circuitry completely by turning it 10, to allow the pure tone of the pickup to come through.
