Rickenbacker Bass Guitars
Welcome to Rickenbacker Bass Guitars
Founded in Santa Ana, California in 1932 to sell hawaiian guitars, production quickly changed to electric guitars. It was during the 60's the company rose to prominence when John Lennon used a 325 Capri for the The Beatles now legendary 1964 debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. Known for their distictive "jangle" and "chime", Rickenbackers have been favoured by bands such as The Who, The Byrds and The Beatles ever since. Perhaps the most famous user of their bass guitars is Lemmy from Motorhead, who used a 4003 for the vast majority of his career.
