Zemaitis Electric Guitars

Welcome to Zemaitis Electric Guitars

Art with Strings, Tony Zemaitis Electric Guitars.

Tony Zemaitis Electric Guitar production began in the 1950s, and entered the guitar making profession full-time in 1965. In the 70's, Tony began experimenting, putting a metal shield on the top of the guitar to help eliminate microphonic noise picked up by the guitars pick-ups. To enhance the visual aspect of the guitars, Zemaitis called on the skills of gun engraver Danny O'Brien. The designs include elaborate pearl inlays and engraving either of figures like dragons, desert islands and skulls, or complete mosaic tops.
